![]() the 56 inch wide version sticks out a bit on the sides but the 49 inch wide version seems to follow the lines of the LC 100 the bestģ) if you are using the RLCP02 heavy legs with the narrower 49 inch wide rack, it doesn't fit and no one will tell you this up front. ![]() They are a transaction based company not a customer service based companyĢ) I went with the 84inch X 49inch unassembled I ordered from Rack Outfitters on March 16th but I still don't have all the parts and they have limited knowledge on these roof racks. Here is everything I've learned on these Pioneer Racks:ġ) don't be in a rush to get it installed because it's a slow process. I'm posting here to provide knowledge so someone can avoid the frustration and long-winded process I'm in. So the point of this is, you are on your own and better know your stuff and do your detailed research in advance. Rhino Rack is very understaffed and many of their dealers don't know much about their products. but in the end they sent me an incomplete kit and had limited knowledge on installation so I went with one of the big online dealers that sells multiple aftermarket roof rack, they seemed confident called 2-3 of the recommended dealers and those dealers didn't know anything about Rhino asked Rhino Rack specifically for recommendation for a U.S. ![]() dealers had never heard of Rhino Rack and couldn't help me searched dealers on Rhino Rack website and called a few wanted to purchase a large Rhino Rack Pioneer platform for my LC 2006 Knowing what I know now, I may have gone with the FrontRunner system if I were planning on getting a RTT because it is fully integrated the tent system and makes use of the space under the rack with optional accessories as well.I'm posting this so that maybe someone else can learn from my situation and have a little more knowledge going into a roof rack purchase than I did. This may be the case with all low profile rack systems. Lastly, fitting the wrench underneath the rack to tighten the bracket nuts has also proven to be a real pain. With FrontRunner/Prinsu, the slats are lateral, so you won't need the crossbars or worry about interference issues. Moreover, because the spacing of the tent rails overlap the fore/aft cross bars, I had to remove two of them. This means that you will have to buy accessory crossbars in order to mount the tent using supplied U-brackets. The RTT has mounting rails which point fore/aft, as do the Rhino Rack systems. I think the Prinsu is more modular and the rails can be moved, I don't think the RR Pioneer rails can be moved. Looks go to Prinsu, I love the look of a full rack. The RR Pioneer is a 7/8 rack so no drilling and the Prinsu is a full rack that can be done with our without drilling. The Pioneer Rack is cheaper at $950 vs $1050. I have a 2015 Limited 4R with 4rd row seats.īoth cost about almost $1000 including the shipping. I'm stuck on choosing between Prinsu Full Roofrack or the Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform with the backbone system (76x49). ![]()
